Mamby on the Beach’s returns for it’s third year here in Chicago at Oakwood Beach, and it’s definitely a festival I’ve been sleeping on. Chicago’s only beachside music festival is a low-key mix of good food, moods, tunes and art. With some of the best city views, this festival gives off the best Chicago vibes and I had to check out. I attended only on Sunday, but am looking forward to making this festival a yearly visit.
With only three main stages, the Beach Stage, Park Stage and MixMag DJ Tent, Mamby truly has a intimate vibe with the performers.
Aside from the three stages, you can find Yoga and Wellness activities, food and beverage vendors (shout out to Monaco for providing the drinks), Tiki Bar, and Silent Disco.
I only saw a few performers, but each were amazing and the crowd just as energetic.
Who I Saw:
- Flying Lotus
- Todd Terje & The Olsens
The weather was certainly rare for a Chicago summer with a high around 75 degrees for the day. I decided to keep with a simple silhouette and wanted the pattern on this dress to speak for itself. This silky dress from Tularosa was a no-brainer when figuring out what to wear. I paired it with a halter bralette (to fell extra protected when dancing), tan classic converse, layered necklaces, and a denim jacket when the sun began to set.
I wish I would’ve gotten more photos of what I ate, but I guess I didn’t have the patience. Thankfully I snapped a picture of my favorite thing of the day, this cookies and cream rice crispy treat from Laines Bakery.
Best Mamby Food Vendors:
- Fresh & Jive
- Wow Bao
- Wooden Paddle Pizza
- Leghorn Chicken
- Laines Bakery
- Harolds Chicken (of course)
If you live around the Chicagoland area I would recommend checking out this festival! I hope you enjoyed.
