Just because it’s summer I don’t like to completely rid myself from wearing denim. I have been loving many fun and new ways to incorporate denim into my wardrobe for the season – from color-blocking to patchwork. I’ve put together some pieces that I have been currently wearing on repeat, as well as items on my wish list!
Yes, I may have to peel myself out of some of these jeans when the temperatures continue to rise, but it’s totally worth it. I have been continuously loving the frayed hem and worn-in denim look like these jeans from Reformation. They give any plain tee a vintage vibe. When I’m feeling a little more adventurous, I bust out the color-block denim. This trend feels so new and refreshing to the traditional denim, I highly recommend checking some pairs out.

Not only have I been incorporating jeans into my summer looks, I can’t forget about the denim skirt and shorts. A great way to try out the colorblocking trend, without diving in head first, is with a denim skirt. I love this one from AG, it’s has just the right subtle light wash. Another item on my summer wish list are these embroidered shorts from GRLFRND. I have yet to try embroidered denim this season, but will have to make it a priority!
Last but not least I gathered together a few pieces that incorporate denim that aren’t bottoms. Nothing screams an “effortless summer look” than a chambray button down like this one from Madewell. I’ve also included this super awesome denim overall dress from Topshop (another item on my wish list). I suggest if you’re feeling extra edgy to try incorporating these chambray tops with a pair of denim shorts or even a denim jacket over this jumpsuit by Holding Horses because, hey, denim on denim is cool.
